Vineyard Manager

Grape Co Farms Pty Ltd is looking for a skilled Vineyard Manager to join their team in Merbein South, Victoria.

Your roles and responsibilities will include and is not limited to the following:

• Liaise with and report directly to key management personnel to coordinate and perform end-to-end operational activities at required standard;
• Management of day-to-day vineyard activities throughout all growth stages to ensure key objectives are met;
• Review and enhance viticulture techniques and farming practices with a focus on innovation and continual improvement;
• Efficient and effective irrigation management including soil moisture and nutrient monitoring;
• Efficient and effective management of fertigation and spray application programmes including disease and pest control and plant health regulation;
• Management of harvest and field packing ensuring required quality control and assurance standards in collaboration with key technical personnel;
• Supervision and management of all farm workers including liaising and directing contract labor providers;
• Contemporaneous record-keeping including spray diaries, crop management activities etc.
• General farm hand duties as required.

To be considered you will need:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in similar table grape managerial position
• Significant experience and understanding with IP varietals.
• Competent IT and well-established intrapersonal skills.
• Ability to work proficiently in a fast-paced and high-performing environment
• Formal agricultural and horticultural qualifications or training will be favorable.
