We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Manager to join our Sydney Team.
You will provide effective support to the Group Research team in providing economic, financial, capital and real estate occupancy market insights to a wide variety of internal & external stakeholders across multiple sectors including Build to Sell Residential, Build to Rent, Office & Industrial sectors.
Your responsibilities are but not limited to:
Sharing of market intelligence - Monitor market movements across economic, financial, capital and occupancy market insights and participate in Research Team discussions regarding cyclical and structural that may influence future Group Performance
Obtain insights & market intelligence through administration of subscriptions, analysis of data, external meetings with agents and proactively building relationships with key internal stakeholders
Maintain foundational team market datasets - Become familiar with a wide variety of key data sources for various sector sub-markets
Collect, update and maintain sector workbooks, forecast models and chart decks
Distribute key insights to internal clients upon release
Houseview forecasts and presentation - Work with Senior Research Manager and Senior Analytics Manager in preparation of bi-annual House View materials and forecast packs and presentations
Client capital reporting - Analyse key market movements and prepare comprehensive market commentary for external unlisted clients as per delivery timetables for Office, Industrial and Build to Rent
Work with Group Research team on the delivery of presentations to external capital
New Business & Investment Committee - Responsibility for completing macroeconomic sections for Build to Sell Residential papers; liaise with Capital Allocation and sector teams where required
Work with Senior Analytics Manager in assisting Build to Rent at the New Business stage with detailed insights on macroeconomic and local market conditions, pricing, customer and outlook for growth rates
Assist with data requirements on customers and marketing/operations insights where required
Assist Senior Analytics Manager in presenting and providing research material to all levels of the Build to Rent division
Corporate - Assist Head of Research with materials for Executive Leadership Team and Board, Group Strategy, Investor Relations, Stakeholder Relations, Risk and other corporate stakeholders in access to relevant, timely insights.
Your point of differenceTo be successful you will have relevant tertiary qualifications ina quantitative field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics or Property, moderate experience in analytic/economic/investment or research focused roles and understanding increating detailed chart visualisations in excel, reporting tools or similar
You will have a passion for data/research and the ability to translate insights and concepts in simplified terms to stakeholders, the ability to proactively foster relationships, gain trust and regularly contribute/present to internal teams on their respective strategies
Finally, you will have solid understanding of applied statistics, high level of attention to detail and work well independently whilst communicating initiatives & progress back to HoR and/or Group Research team regularly
