About this role


We have a key senior leadership opportunity for a
Head of Property & Fleet, accountable for the management of all Western Power property, real estate and Fleet assets with a continual focus on improving the operational efficiency and effectiveness ensuring these are financially sustainable and "fit for purpose." This includes the specifications, design and construction, purchasing, commissioning, maintenance and sale of all property and fleet assets.

The role is also very strategic with opportunities ahead to look at Depot and office environments that support growing business needs and inspire people.

- providing thought leadership and innovative thinking to suggest and implement new ways of working across the enterprise that will accelerate delivery of the Corporate Strategy.

What you can bring to Western Power
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, or related discipline
  • A broad and or deep knowledge within a Project Management, Construction or Fleet environment or related discipline requiring an advanced understanding of diverse practices and principles.
  • Demonstrated and broad knowledge and experience in the delivery of commercially sound and "fit for purpose" property and /or fleet solutions that support business strategies.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive and proven negotiation and commercial acumen.
  • A demonstrated understanding of the regulatory framework in which a Utility operates and the link between business decisions and their impact on the regulatory outcomes.
  • Member of appropriate professional body
