The Role:
Fractional/Fixed term (0.6 EFT) ending June 2024
- Orygen's Statewide Program is commissioned by The Victorian Government to support delivery of the Royal Commission on Mental Health and to support reform of the youth mental health system.
- The Lead Clinical Consultant will:
- Develop and lead a new state-wide quaternary youth mental health service for young people who have highly complex needs.
- Lead the production of evidenceinformed statewide models of tertiary youth mental health care; and evidenceinformed approaches and guidance to inform system innovation.
- This will be achieved working in close collaboration across the state with clinical and other colleagues, young people, their families, and communities.
- The position sits across Orygen Clinical Operations and Knowledge Translation Directorates.
About You:
- Extensive experience at the level of Senior Consultant Psychiatrist
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and management experience consistent with a leadership role in a comprehensive mental health service
- Demonstrated achievement in education and training of medical students, postgraduate students and management of medical staff.
