Western Health is seeking a qualified and motivated Dental Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team at Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC), a maximum-security women's prison.

The Dental Assistants role within Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC) is to assist chairside in delivery of dental treatment to vulnerable patients, manage the sterilisation of equipment, day to day patient management and set up and close down of the unit.

This position is a fulltime role.

On 1 July, 2023 the delivery of primary healthcare will transition from the current service provider to Western Health. The multidisciplinary team including dentistry will provide holistic and interconnected service provision to patients at DPFC.

Successful applicants will be on boarded during the transition period for orientation and training including additional training to support the delivery of culturally appropriate, trauma informed, gender affirming care for all patients including priority cohorts.
