Perth, Western Australia Hall & Prior Health & Aged Care Group Full time

Hall & Prior Health & Aged Care Group is a family-owned aged care provider operating 36 residential aged care homes, with in-home and community care programs in WA and NSW. We believe that our commitment to providing high quality care can make a real difference to the lives of our consumers and their families.

We are seeking a compassionate Speech Pathologist to join our WA team , on a full-time basis. This roving position will see you support our aged care residents, across the Perth metro region and potentially occasional visits to our rural homes in the Southwest to enhance their safety during mealtimes, communication, social participation, mealtime experience and overall wellbeing. In addition to this the Speech Pathologist will participate in education of staff and support with ongoing continuous improvement in alignment with the aged care quality standards.

Reporting to the Director of Nutrition and Hydration, you will be responsible for providing speech pathology services to residents requiring assessment, diagnosis and management of communication and swallowing disorders, as well as supporting our organisation-wide menu management activities and Nutrition & Hydration program. Your well-honed communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills are easily demonstrated when you work in an inter-disciplinary team, as well when making meaningful connections with residents and their families. You will be part of the Speech Pathology team led by our Senior Speech Pathologist and Dysphagia Lead.

Now... before we integrate you into our team and into our homes, we need to ensure you possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • full work rights in Australia

Our people are integral to achieving our vision of being a leading aged care provider in Australia.
