Reporting to the Managing Director, the Foundry worker/Furnace Operator will support the production operations by mainly operating the 200KW induction furnace equipment and will assist with foundry-related tasks when necessary.

Role and Responsibilities_

Your responsibilities are as follows:

  • Operation and management of the 200KW induction furnace equipment
  • Assisting the production of sand moulds and metal castings
  • Ensure operations and processes followed and met quality and safety standards
  • Ensure jobs are on time and meeting client's expectations
  • Monitoring furnace operations to make sure that temperatures are within safe limits and adjusting controls as needed
  • Performing regular maintenance on furnaces or other equipment used in the production process to ensure that they continue to operate efficiently
  • Observing the furnace during operation to ensure that it is operating properly and safely

Skills and Experience Required_

  • Experience and understanding of how to operate and maintain an induction furnace
  • Experience in a similar environment that involves daily physical/manual work
  • Experience with hand tools and metal
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Australian working rights

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Kelmscott, WA 6111: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
