Geotechnician to join an organically growing, ASX listed mining company with many opportunities for growth in their WA operations. The business offers high grade resources and modern infrastructure to facilitate future expansion.
About the Role
The Successful applicant will be working closely with an onsite team in support of a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, in order to extract precious metal deposits safely and efficiently.
Job Tasks/Responsibilities
- Maintaining geotechnical standards outlined in the Ground Control Management Plan
- Innovate and optimise mining and analysis methods/procedures in deep mining and open cut operations
- Demonstrate operational and technical capabilities within a growing technical service team
- Plan, manage and assess various backfill types
- A relevant Tertiary Degree (i.e., Bachelor of Engineering/Geotechnical Engineering/Mining Geology)
- Proficiency with relevant software suites (i.e., Vulcan, Deswik, Surpac, IMS suite, Rocscience suite, mXrap and MAP3D)
- Excellent problem solving ability and practical/efficient solutions
- 2+ years' experience in a mining environment with at least one year in a mechanised underground mine
- Seismic experience is well regarded but not essential
