THE PROJECT
McConnell Dowell is the constructor within the Western Program Alliance (WPA) which forms part of the Victorian State government's ambitious level crossing removal program.
The Alliance brings together the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM), and Arup and Mott MacDonald as design partners.
THE ROLE
We have an opportunity for a Contracts Manager with experience in the construction industry to join our collaborative and inclusive team.
This role will see you provide expert advice on contractual and commercial matters including compliance with contract documents and legislation.
-ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary qualifications in business management, law, quantity surveying, commerce, engineering, or accounting essential
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in the same or similar role with significant experience in the development and delivery of infrastructure projects would be ideal
- Extensive experience in contract management, with working knowledge of a variety of contracting frameworks (lump sum, schedule of rates, relationship contracting, etc)
- Demonstrated ability to analyse contractual and legal issues and provide solutions through appropriate problemsolving techniques
- Sound commercial acumen accompanied by proven and interrelationship skills evidenced by effective dispute resolutions
