About the Role

Collaborate with Project Managers, Program and Project Accounting teams, Finance Teams and PMO to maintain updated project schedules and finances, ensuring accuracy in project execution and reporting. Ensure alignment with DTP's Investment Lifecycle Framework and PMO reporting requirements. Support the Maintenance team for accurate project and program financial reporting.

  • Utilize specialist project management for driving capital works program delivery within budget and reducing operating costs.
  • Develop high-quality reports and advice on project and program status to support financial governance.
  • Enhance financial management capability within the project management team(s).
  • Build effective working relationships and influence stakeholders for timely program monitoring and financial services.
  • Promote safe, inclusive, and flexible team operations.

To be successful in this role, diagnose trends, obstacles, and opportunities internally and externally, using systems thinking to solve problems and create solutions while coaching and supporting your team. Translate strategies into actionable programs or projects, defining governance to manage risks and ensure success. Drive a culture focused on value addition and return on investment. Efficiently support the business by optimizing back-office functions, proactively adding value for clients and stakeholders, monitoring satisfaction, and addressing stakeholder issues constructively. Lead the development of frameworks to build organizational capability, define role expectations, provide feedback, facilitate development, and empower others by delegating responsibilities. Utilize negotiation and influence skills to achieve successful outcomes with stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification.
  • Proficient in commonly used financial methods, tools & systems.
