We value our employees and celebrate the diverse range of experiences, languages, and cultures they bring. Established over 50 years ago from a protest movement, the ALS is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organization offering top-notch, culturally sensitive legal and support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations in NSW and the ACT. This is an exciting time to join us as we have recently secured additional funding to introduce new programs addressing systemic issues and promoting structural reforms, creating opportunities for the ALS, our team, and our communities.

About the Role

The Senior Solicitor is a key member of the Care and Protection Team, focusing on child welfare cases including child protection, foster care, adoption, custody disputes, juvenile justice, and early intervention services. The team also provides outreach, education, and referrals concerning child and family legal issues.
