About the Role

We're on the hunt for a copywriter (YOU) to join our in-house creative agency 'The Inside Job', who will take our messaging to the next level and make our network of Aussie banks even more famous.

Each time a letter is written, it needs to read beautifully with none of the jargon. Each time a campaign is created, it needs to ooze cool and sophistication.

Each time we communicate with anyone internally or externally, we're representing all three brands (Bank of Queensland, Virgin Money and ME) so we need to be more insightful, more desirable and more playful than our competitors.

We may work at banks, it doesn't mean we need to talk like them.

We've used nudists to sell home loans (BOQ), Destiny's Child lyrics to explain app features (ME) and because no one was explaining superannuation well, we just made up our own word for it (Virgin).


Having the diversity of three different brands in an in-house environment is truly a unique internal opportunity - and the best of both worlds.

About you

A unicorn would be great, but we'll settle for someone exceptional Tasked with writing content across a range of channels, will be a strong written communicator.


You're a creative up-and-comer who thrives in a fast-paced forever-changing environment and work best when you have a tight (yet exciting) deadline looming - but you'll never feel like you're on your own.


It goes without saying that you have great interpersonal, relationship building qualities - they go a long way at ME - as well as a hunger and passion for all things creative.

You deal with pressure with professionalism and love working with highly collaborative teams of (bloody nice) creatives. No egos at ME - we left them in advertising.

As a somewhat seasoned Copywriter, you'll demonstrate an understanding of brand awareness, the audience and even competitors' activities to enable you to produce original, engaging content for the group
