About the role
Mater Hospital Brisbane is seeking 2 x experienced Registered Nurses for 2 leave coverage opportunities within the Ambulatory & Outpatient Service. We currently have 2 vacancies:
1 x 6 month Maximum Term, Part Time 20 hours per week
1 x 9 month Maximum Term, Part Time 24 hours per week
The Ambulatory Care & Outpatient Service offers exceptional individualised care and is committed to enhancing the patient experience by providing education, information and support that is evidence based.
Salary range: $ $51.74 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900
What you'll be doing
The Ambulatory Care & Outpatient Clinics provide a variety of outpatient services (including single course treatment and ongoing complex care) for patients to achieve optimal health management. The clinics have a strong commitment to the Mater mission and values with staff striving to offer a compassionate service to patients and their families, to show sensitivity regarding privacy, flexibility when considering patients individual needs, and to promote a helpful environment in which the multidisciplinary team works effectively.
About you
To be considered suitable for this role you must have:
- Current AHPRA registration (no restrictions) with 2+ years' experience working within an adult hospital environment
- Clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing practice
- High level communication skills when liaising with patients, families and staff within professional, legal and ethical parameters
- Exceptional time management with the ability to work collaboratively and autonomously working at top of scope of practice.
- High level competence in using electronic information systems such as patient information systems, procedural booking system, Outlook and Microsoft Excel
- An existing understanding of or ability to acquire knowledge in applying Elective Surgery Waitlist & Specialist Outpatient Services Implementation Standards governance and business rules
- Previous experience working within an Outpatient/Specialty Clinic environment will also be advantageous.
