The Enterprise Networking Software Tooling Team is looking to hire a Network Engineer to help automate deployment and scale one of the worlds largest and complex networks.

The Amazon's Enterprise provides mission-critical global connectivity for internal services and business applications, datacenter infrastructure equipment, and 1,000,000+ internal users.

In this role you will look for innovative and creative ways to design, automate and scale our next-generation network architectures.

We are seeking an experienced Network Development Engineer to join a highly skilled team Enterprise Networking team that is able to design and automate the deployment of the next generation networking products deployed to AWS Datacenters globally.

Key job responsibilities As a Network Development Engineer working within AWS Infrastructure you will:

  • Be responsible for designing the next generation of SDWAN/Edge network using Cloud based technologies such as AWS Cloud WAN, Transit Gateway, NAT gateways , ANF, DX Gateways, Lambda and other virtual Gateways to serve 500+ offices.
  • Automating the deployment of network devices gateways using infrastructure as a code across all of our network fabrics using automation such as CDK, Python.
  • Be responsible for automating the deployment of network infrastructure across all of our network fabrics that supports AWS services.
  • Deploy, scale and automate our network across many global datacenters.
This includes existing footprints and new locations.

  • Work closely with our automation teams in defining the platforms and frameworks that allow us to scale at unprecedented volume.
  • Create and review documentation and process regarding network.
implementation/deployments, recurring issues, new standard operating procedures, knowledge transfer material, etc.

  • Leads design, network/code and security reviews across teams to identify risks and prevent classes of bugs prior to production release.

A day in the life Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, strong project management and time management skills and has a successful track record of designing simple, scalable solutions and troubleshooting complex network problems and delivering innovative solutions.

The desire and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment is essential.

About the team As a part of Enterprise Office Network Engineering team, we are responsible for tooling which connects 500+ remote offices to the Enterprise core network as well as into AWS cloud.
