About the role


The Service Supervisor is primarily responsible for the efficient operation of the service department to provide our customers with a first-class service operation which ensures the ongoing profitability and capability of the service department in accordance with company strategy and objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Allocate workload to technicians to ensure efficiency and productivity
  • Provide prompt service support to customers i.e., internal and external
  • Supervise efficiency of the service team to ensure overall productivity is maximized and non productive time is reduced
  • Assist the administration department with any bad debt recovery as related to the service operation
  • Supervise and monitor the performance and processes of the service operation to ensure objectives relating to quality and customer satisfaction requirements are achieved, and to make process improvement recommendations to address the identified needs, as desired
  • Undertake any additional tasks as requested by the Service Manager
  • Ensure all service staff adhere to safety policies, work instruction and service procedures
  • Check and approve all field service jobs prior to invoicing, ensuring all parts, labour and sublets are accounted for
  • Participate in monthly service meetings and record minutes (Service bulletins, safety bulletins, etc)
  • Maintain the afterhours call out roster
  • Set up and maintain technician training schedule in conjunction with national training objectives
  • With the Workshop Supervisor, perform weekly toolbox meetings
  • Perform audits in accordance with Company EH&S policies

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet) and previous experience using booking systems, ideally Salesforce
  • Ability to foster change and promote and implement improvement
  • High attention to detail
  • A positive and proactive attitude and the ability to work within a collaborative team environment
  • Strong and effective communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders
