About the role:

The primary focus of this role is providing customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

You will be responsible for processing CCTV download requests, programming and issuing security access cards, issuing keys to Council's facilities and parks/reserves, arranging security guard services, producing access reports, checking and processing invoices and proactively troubleshooting issues with security systems and access cards.


  • Exceptional telephone manner and customer service skills.
  • Current NSW class 1E, 2B, 2C security licence or willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment.
  • Sound knowledge of Security and Access Control systems.
  • Sound knowledge of CCTV video management systems.
  • Ability to participate in a 24 hour 7 day per week out of hours rotating oncall roster. Please see below for more details about oncall.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Very high attention to detail.
  • Advanced problemsolving skills.

About On-Call:

The on-call officer provides remote assistance via laptop and mobile phone to internal and external stakeholders. No in person attendance is required outside of core working hours. On-call is shared between members of the team and is allocated in a flexible and fair way. When on-call, a daily allowance is paid and further remuneration for time spent performing on call duties.
