  • About the Role
  • We are seeking a dynamic People Leader to join our team in the role of Regional Operations Manager. Tasked with setting and achieving operational budgets across all 7 operating plants in the Asia Pacific region, you will be responsible for the regional production and operational activities and performance of the business. Along with Managing Director and Deputy Chief Operating Office, you will set operational strategic goals, and ensure that KPI's for SHE, production, energy, sustainability and compliance are delivered, and improved year on year. In addition, this role will see you direct and oversee the development of Opex/Capex programmes ensuring continued focus on best value, Opex efficiencies & schedule, whilst ensuring budgetary control measure & team motivation are achieved.

Your accountabilities will also include:

  • Working closely with the regional MD, Group Deputy COO and local plant managers to create foundation for successful integration and engagement;
  • Defining and driving implementation of common KPI's, execution and follow up in the region;
  • Working with functional peers & Boortmalt global specialists and supporting teams to create foundation for engagement & development of successful outcomes relating to production targets, yields at lowest COGS;
  • Ensuring understanding and compliance with all current legal & statutory obligations including, but not limited to SHE HACCP Environmental, Food Safety and Employment Legislation;
  • Fully participating in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Group Business Management Systems and BOPEX in conjunction with the Group functions;
  • Fully and positively participating in all Group improvement initiatives ensuring any changes to working practices, policies or procedures are communicated to and actively supported & implemented by the team & in line with best practice (as appropriate);
  • Inspiring, leading, motivating, directing and developing site teams In particular.

  • About You
  • You are an experienced operational leader comfortable working, engaging and delivering in a fast paced, future focused matrix environment. You are able to translate organisational strategy into operations through your well developed commercial acumen, strong communication and leadership expertise.

You will also bring the following with you:

  • STEM qualifications with knowledge of Quality, Food, Safety and Energy principles;
  • Experience leading in a multisite environment, processing focused industrial environment;
  • Change management & CI skills;
  • Budget management & reporting;
  • Demonstrated capability to drive sustainability agenda across the region;
  • Fault finding & Problem solving capabilities;
  • SHE & ISO qualifications will be well regarded, as will SAP and exposure to Maximo.
