We are seeking a qualified, enthusiastic Wood Machinist to join us full-time at our Caboolture location. The role involves various aspects of wood machining.

You will be responsible for managing our Dry Mill operations efficiently, ensuring high-quality product standards are met. We are looking for someone dedicated to continuous improvement, experienced in wood machining, and a team player. While experience in the industry is beneficial, it is not required.

Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate who becomes part of our AKD family.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks safely and efficiently
• Grind and set up planer heads
• Operate CNC High-Speed Planer
• Maintain cutter performance
• Diagnose and rectify faults
• Maintain machinery
• Adhere to operating procedures

Requirements:

• Effective time management skills
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently or in a team
• Flexibility with shifts
• Excellent communication skills
• Prior experience on high-speed planers (preferred)

Minimum Qualification: Certificate III in Wood Machining or equivalent
