About the Role: Analytical Chemist

As an Analytical Chemist at AusNet, you will conduct chemical and electrical analyses of insulating media from various electrical equipment. Your responsibilities will include providing technical assistance and training to team members, maintaining quality standards, and improving methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate and timely data and reports for analysis.
  • Ensure work aligns with quality, safety, and test standards.
  • Train, mentor, and coach team members.
  • Maintain quality accreditations and contribute to the development of new test methodologies.
  • Identify non-conformances within the Laboratory Management System.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in applied science (Chemistry) or equivalent, or substantial industry experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of analytical techniques and instrument operation.
  • Experience in scientific instrument maintenance (GC, HPLC preferred).
  • History of working in a scientific laboratory setting.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team.
  • Strong focus on safety and compliance with relevant standards.
