Iron Mine Contracting (IMC) was formed to provide Civil, Mining, Crushing and Screening and Indigenous partnering opportunities to the West Australian market.

IMC was recently awarded full open pit mining services for an emerging Tier 1 Battery Minerals producer for their lithium project located at Kathleen Valley which is one of the world's largest and highest-grade hard rock lithium deposit.


This has opened opportunities for experienced Tyre Fitters who are skilled in servicing Heavy Mobile Equipment to join IMC and assist our Maintenance Department in servicing our fleet on the Kathleen Valley Lithium project.

Key duties:

  • Diagnose tyre/rim/wheel conditions as required.
  • Remove and replace rim/wheel to vehicles, remove and replace tyres to rim/wheel as required.
  • Perform regular tyre inflation pressure checks, adjust, and report to Supervisor.
  • Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computerbased systems.
  • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of equipment nonconformance.
  • Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards.
  • Carrying out prestart checks.

Essential to the role:

  • Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in mine sitebased tyre fitting.
  • Previous open cut mining experience in the maintenance of heavy earthmoving equipment.
  • HR driver's license.
  • National Police Clearance (within 12 months of issue date).
  • Ability to pass a preemployment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
