The aim of our Families & Communities Program is to strengthen vulnerable communities by supporting and building capacity in families, children, and individuals, particularly during times of change. Through our services we strive to minimise intergenerational trauma.


This is a temporary part-time role consisting of 30.4 hours per week, for a period up until 30 June 2026.

Our requirements to provide care

  • Degree in Psychology or Social Work/Social Science and/or Post Graduate training/Diploma in Counselling
  • At least 3 years of counselling experience working different client groups.
  • Knowledge and experience with Family Violence and safety planning
  • Knowledge and experience with court ordered counselling and the Family Law Act
  • Sound knowledge of child protection legislation and mandatory reporting requirements
  • Membership of either the Australian Psychological Society, AHPRA, the Australian Association of Social Workers or Clinical Membership of PACFA
  • Drivers licence and reliable vehicle
