Mergent Recruitment are currently partnering with and award winning multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancy providing services and solutions to the development, property and urban infrastructure sectors across Australia.

As Soil Technician/Field Technician we require someone who is highly motivated to succeed in this dynamic role.

  • Experience working on tier 1 & 2 civil construction projects
  • Demonstrated experience and extensive knowledge of laboratory and field testing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and clients
  • Physically fit and prepared to undertake labour intensive tasks at times

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current Nuclear Density User Licence
  • In depth understanding of AS3798, AS1289, AS1012, AS 1141 and AS172
  • Certificate IV in laboratory techniques
  • Current construction induction white card
  • Current drivers license and ability to drive manual vehicles
  • Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency essential


Applicants will be required to successfully complete and pass fit for work medicals (including drug and alcohol screening), meet required state COVID vaccination requirements and participate in company and client inductions.
