The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Administrator to join our Tasmanian team on a Full-Time basis. This role will ideally be based in our Cambridge office and support the finance team for the region.

This role will be an exciting opportunity to gain an insight to a diverse range of construction experience and work in a fast-paced, growing part of our southern region business.

You will be Responsible for

  • Preparing weekly payment run batches.
  • Raising purchase order requisitions & reconciling dockets/invoices as required.
  • Performing monthly vendor statement reconciliations.
  • Acting as the first point of contact to subcontractors for the projects; managing the project inbox including forwarding invoices, chasing up queries with site based administrators in a timely manner and passing on subcontractor claims to contracts administrator to be actioned.
  • Processing basic and routine functions related to Accounts Payable for the ongoing project as well as projects completed and/or nearing completion and processing employee reimbursements.
  • Updating data on internal database / spreadsheets ensuring correct job codes are being used.
  • Maintaining office & equipment registers.
  • Assisting in EOM project reporting.
  • General office duties.
  • Provide ad hoc support to site team members.
What you will need

You will have sound experience working in a busy project based role where you have provided administrative support.

You will thrive under pressure, have the ability to switch task based on priorities and most importantly you will provide solutions through effective coordination and administration to the project.


  • Great skills in the Microsoft Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • Exposure to JDE an advantage
  • A confident communicator with a professional and friendly persona
  • You will demonstrate time management and organisational skills with ability to look at new (improved) way of doing things
  • You will be driven by and take initiative to address issues as they arise
  • You will easily develop good working relationships with internal and external customers
  • You will pride yourself on maintaining a high attention to detail, with strong data entry skills
  • Ability to problem solve
