Role and Responsibilities:

As the Chef at this childcare centre, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious and appetizing meals to the young children on a daily basis.


  • Planning and preparing weekly menus that cater to the dietary requirements and preferences of young children.
  • Understanding 'Munch and Move' philosophy.
  • Ensuring that all meals are prepared in accordance with relevant health and safety standards.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times.
  • Managing food supplies and inventory, ordering items as needed to ensure a wellstocked kitchen.
  • Working collaboratively with our team to create a positive and enjoyable mealtime experience for children.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a cook, preferably with experience in a childcare setting or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for young children.
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A passion for cooking and creativity in developing appealing and nutritious meals.
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
