Home Care Support Coordinator

Permanent Part Time - 38 hours per fortnight - To Commence ASAP

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team at MDHS.

In this role you will be responsible for coordinating, administrating and reporting the delivery of the MDHS Home Support Service, in line with MDHS and funding agency requirements.

This position requires you to provide leadership and support to the MDHS Home Support staff and consumers and will be an active member of the Community Services leadership team.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential Qualifications:

  • Qualification(s) in administration, disability, social services and/or community services
  • Leadership, management or business administration qualifications or willingness to complete same
Technical/Professional Knowledge and skills

  • Awareness and understanding of the Aged Care and Disability sectors, specifically My Aged Care, CHSP and HACC/PYP
  • Experience in a rural health and / or community setting
  • Strong administrative skills, including excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Experience in managing staff and/or volunteers and coordinating rosters
  • Selfreliant, motivated, able to work independently and innovatively and respond to situations appropriately, while working within a framework of policies and protocols
  • Highly proficient in the use of a range of computer software programs and the ability to learn new software programs, at a level required to fulfil this position
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and manage a range of complex situations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, problem solving and conflict resolutions skills
  • Able to liaise across a broad spectrum of services and communicate positively to a wide range of people
  • Commitment to quality, best practice and environmental safety
