The Australian Data Centre market is booming, with businesses and major funds heavily investing across the country recognising the immense potential for growth.

As organisations move more of their operations onto the cloud, demand for Data Centre space has skyrocketed in Australia, leading to an unprecedented boom in construction of new data centres over the last few years.


Our client is a leader in their niche of the data centre market and they're seeking to hire a HSEQ Advisor.

They provide

The HSEQ Advisor is responsible for working alongside key stakeholders within the business to lead and embed safety best practice.

The role will be at the forefront of ensuring overall compliance with legislation and regulations, implementing strategies which identify hazards and risks, and providing ongoing advice on HSEQ matters.


About the Role

For all things HSEQ, in particular the following:

  • Develop and manage companywide learning to create a culture based on safety and sustainable results, including ongoing campaigns and the induction process
  • Provide advice and coaching on all HSEQ matters
  • Conduct internal audits and manage surveillance and recertification processes. Support and guide risk assessments, work method statements, project plans and review processes
  • Manage our incident notification procedures
  • Coordinate with the Human Resources team regarding returntowork programs. Support our project management team and supervisors in ensuring compliance with our HSEQ system
  • Evaluate audit findings and recommend appropriate correct / improvement actions to the leadership team

About You

  • A strong understanding of state and federal WHS legislations, regulations, and frameworks
  • Competency working within an Integrated Management System (IMS)
  • Proven experience in HSEQ (minimum 3 years required)
  • Experience or qualifications in training and assessment (desirable)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with qualifications in Workplace Health Safety and
  • Environmental or Certificate IV Work Health Safety or higher
  • Knowledge of risk assessment, tools, concepts, and methodologies
  • Full rights to work in Australia
