We are recruiting Fuel Operators to join our Operations & Maintenance team in what is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in the Australia Defence environment to support the national security requirements of the Nation.


  • This is a unique opportunity to join a longterm, operations and maintenance contract, within the defence sector. Work with a Tier 1 services provider, alongside an established crew of experienced technicians.

The Roles

  • Led by an Operations Supervisor, the following roles will be based in the

Brisbane/Ipswich
***region, supporting several fuel installation sites in the region. This permanent position will see you work Monday - Friday 38 hours per week. The permanent rate for this position is

$43.00 per hour + superannuation.

DFI Operator

  • Previous experience working bulk fuel management or defence fuels is essential
  • Duties as directed by the Operating Agent (OA)
  • Performing operational functions within the Defence Fuel Installation (DFI)
  • Responsible for security, environmental and emergency management of the DFI
  • Minor fuel quality sampling and testing requirements
  • Maintain appearance and cleanliness of surrounding area
  • Maintain accurate records and keep logbooks up to date
  • Excellent time management
  • Responsible for storage, packaging and disposal of Dangerous Goods including hazardous materials

What you will Need

  • Along with experience relevant to each role above, you will be a strong team player, a selfstarter and dedicated employee.
We expect that the successful applicant will have the following:

  • Defence specific training will be advantageous; however, this training will be provided to the successful applicant where required
  • Valid Drivers Licence (HR or HC will be highly regarded)
  • Safety is at the forefront of everything you do
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance
  • Live locally, or willing to relocate to the
    Brisbane/Ipswich region
