Within Entain Australia, AML Analysts form an integral part of the 1st Line team, reporting to the AML Team Lead.

This dedicated team bears the responsibility of vigilantly monitoring client conduct, transactions, and accounts. Moreover, they oversee tasks such as reviewing ACIP, conducting KYC refreshes, engaging in remediation projects, and handling sanctions. The role primarily revolves around the identification, assessment, and appropriate action concerning accounts displaying potentially irregular or suspicious behaviour.

This role is located in Brisbane, Australia, where our headquarters are also situated. We have offices in Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, and Wellington.

Your day-to-day

• Analyse customer transactions, accounts, and behaviours for potential Money Laundering/Terrorist Financing indicators.
• Assess customer risk ratings using predetermined criteria.
• Conduct enhanced due diligence checks by gathering sources of funds/wealth information from diverse sources, including internet searches, stakeholder discussions, and customer interactions.
• Carry out ongoing customer due diligence checks and transaction monitoring.
• File Suspicious Matter Reports and other necessary reports with AUSTRAC.
• Review Sanctions alerts and remediate AML data.
• Evaluate and assess customer accounts.
• Collaborate closely with Risk, Trading, and Client Services teams.

You're a match if you have.

• 2+ years of AML/CTF experience.
• Fundamental understanding of the wagering industry.
• Knowledge of basic money laundering and terrorism financing typologies.
• Familiarity or prior experience with transaction monitoring, KYC, and/or sanctions.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent selfmanagement of time and tasks.
• Motivated, innovative, and exhibits a strong work ethic.
• Proficient in handling highly confidential information.
• Capability to document investigation findings and offer clear recommendations.
• Ability to establish rapport with customers and stakeholders.
