$113,631 to $119,891 annually, plus super

About the role:


This role will operate within the Department's Finance, Governance and Budget Division and work closely with the Department's legal and finance sections to support the broader Department in delivering a wide range of activities including Procurement, Financial Delegations, Accountable Authority Instructions (AAIs), Financial Literacy and Compliance Reporting.


Duties:

  • Provide Financial Governance expertise and advice to business areas to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders such as Divisions, Auditors, and other Commonwealth agencies.
  • Monitor and respond to helpdesk enquiries. Review, investigate and report non'
- compliance with Finance Law in line with the legislative requirements

Required experience/skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of Financial Governance or Management Frameworks.
  • Ability to proactively engage with stakeholders to provide accurate and timely advice on Financial Policy and compliance enquiries.
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships.
  • Ability to analyse continuous improvement and process issues and effectively communicate advice to others in a way which is persuasive and appropriate to the audience. A working knowledge of SAP.
