About the Department of Education


The Department of Education is the largest provider of public education in Australia with responsibility for delivering high-quality public education to two-thirds of the NSW student population.


The Learning Improvement division works collaboratively across the department and non-government sectors to support schools to improve outcomes for every student.

The group is responsible for ensuring the youngest children get the best start in life by supporting and regulating the early childhood education and care sector.

It is also responsible for the development and delivery of evidence-based programs to improve educational standards and the quality of teaching and learning in all NSW public schools.


About the role


The Project Officer performs project management activities to support the contract management, continuous improvement and delivery of the Perfect Presence Pilot Program.

Key activities include but are not limited to managing contracts with external stakeholders according to Standing Agreement, Guidelines and relevant program documentation, accurately cross-checking information across different platforms, contracts and data to ensure program requirements for fee for service are met and actively manage the service providers' performance under the contract.

  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
