What will you be doing?

As a member of the People & Culture team, you will collaborate closely with Jumbo's Sustainability Council and senior leaders to promote sustainability engagement throughout the organisation.


In this role, you will be accountable for implementing the sustainability strategy, managing the plan, facilitating reporting, and overseeing the coordination of Jumbo's annual Sustainability Report.

This position is part-time, working 3 days a week (22.8 hours) or the possibility of being distributed over 4 days per week.


As part of your role, you will:

  • Manage, design and facilitate the development and delivery of the Sustainability Strategy in conjunction with the Sustainability Council.
  • Incorporate sustainability objectives into business and operational planning processes.
  • Promote a culture of commitment to the Sustainability Strategy through the delivery of regular communication across the Group.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to support the Sustainability Strategy's effective implementation.
  • Coordinate submissions and reporting for benchmarking and external assessments.
  • Fulfil internal and external reporting requirements and inform on the strategy's progress.
  • Seek opportunities for external collaborations and funding opportunities for social and environmental sustainability leadership initiatives
What are we looking for?

  • Two years experience in ESG or sustainability roles.
  • Good understanding of organisational sustainability, including carbon reduction and climate change action, social impact, supply chain management, and organisational governance.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ESG reporting frameworks and requirements (ie. GRI, ISSB, TCFD, TNFD, CDP and Equator Principles).
  • A background working in the collection and management of data, reporting and ensuring compliance with policies, standards and legislation.
  • Proactive, resultsdriven professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid project management skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver outcomes to high standards and by committed deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills able to build effective relationships throughout the organisation and engage people to bring them along the ESG journey

Salary:
$130,000+Super (Pro Rata for actual days worked)
