About the role


Inner West Council is currently seeking a reliable, community focussed and hardworking Tree Establishment Arborist who is able to work and perform with mínimal supervision, to undertake professional care and maintenance of Council's street and park trees using industry best practice and techniques.


In this role, you will assist in the implementation of sustainable tree management services and maintain the Inner West Council's urban forest as a quality, intergenerational resource, such that the works and services of Council contribute to the desired community outcomes as outlined in the Community Strategic Plan.


Working as part of the Urban Forest service unit and reporting to the Coordinator Public Trees, you will manage your work to ensure you meet the targets and commitments against your individual and teamwork plans and Council's Operational and Strategic Plans.

Remuneration
$63, $71, Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications

  • Appropriate horticultural and/or arboricultural qualifications and/or a demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in and knowledge of the broad range of activities involved in tree management, specialising in tree planting and establishment maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with mínimal supervision and manage your own workload effectively.
