Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate monthly management accounts including preparing the accounts pack, posting journals, and analyzing differences to budget/forecast/prior months.
  • Oversee the weekly P&L report to ensure precise reporting of income and costs, in addition to monitoring production efficiency, transport expenses, and overheads.
  • Regularly update and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly group reports promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain the company's T&A system by setting up new employees and recording and approving overtime and absences by relevant managers.
  • Update the monthly group accounts pack for the Financial Controller's review.
  • Coordinate the month-end schedule to ensure timely completion of all necessary tasks.
  • Handle inventory control, including managing standard costs of Raw Material, Work in Progress, and Finished Goods, as well as conducting reconciliations and stocktakes.
  • Update monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the Financial Controller's review.
  • Send out the daily sales and production report on a regular basis.
  • Take charge of the weekly, monthly, and quarterly cash flow forecast to align with the budget/forecast.
  • Manage monthly Bank Reconciliations.
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Process weekly payroll journals.
  • Calculate necessary provisions like inventory, rebates, credit notes, and bad debts.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and mold recovery.
  • Reconcile all intercompany balances monthly.
  • Complete ONS and VAT returns as needed.
  • Support Year End Accounts and external audit processes.
  • Occasionally cover for Credit Control and Purchase Ledger during holidays and assist with ad-hoc tasks within the Finance Department.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualification. Consideration will be given to individuals with substantial relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in a comparable role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently towards team objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Excel and computer literate.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Experience with Business Central (Navision) would be beneficial.
  • Prior exposure to Manufacturing would be advantageous.
