Aurrum Aged Care is one of Australia's leading residential aged care providers, with a presence on the NSW Central Coast and in metropolitan and regional Victoria.

Our residents are at the centre of what we do. The way in which we care is underpinned by our Living Life care philosophy, and our team members are at the heart of our success in the delivery of holistic care to our residents.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Roving Registered Nurse position will provide clinical care and support across care homes, supporting individual homes as the need arises (for example, during leave replacement, etc.).

The Roving Registered Nurse role involves working with the GMs, CMs, and other RNs in homes to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. Additionally, you may be responsible for responding to emergencies, providing education to residents or team members, and documenting information accurately.

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to members of the care home team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services
  • Attend to the completion of person-centred assessments and care plans
  • Advocate for the resident / their representative to ensure care and services meet their needs, goals and preferences
  • Liaise with visiting medical practitioners, other health professionals and the resident / their family in the co-ordination, implementation and evaluation of individual resident care
  • Conduct / oversee the completion of clinical audits to identify areas for improvement, escalating any key findings to the Care / General Manager
  • Contribute as a member of the team and work collaboratively and inclusively across all homes to ensure a consistent 'continuous improvement' approach
