About Our Client:

Our Client is a leading automotive and light vehicle parts manufacturer and installer

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting Workshop Manager with daytoday running of the workshop and coaching a team of mechanics, auto electricians and light vehicles fitters.
  • Allocating jobs to workshop staff and ensuring the timely completion of tasks while adhering to Strict safety and quality standards and timely completion of projects.
  • Monitoring jobs and updating management of any unexpected delays or issues that arise
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to workshop staff, assisting with complex modifications and troubleshooting mechanical issues when needed.
  • Ensuring workshop is holding adequate inventory of parts, tools, and equipment. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of necessary resources for uninterrupted operations.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve workshop efficiency and productivity. Implement process enhancements to streamline operations and reduce downtime.

The Successful Applicant:

  • Trade qualified automotive, light vehicle, auto electrician or under body specialist (essential)
  • Excellent knowledge of automotive parts and light vehicles
  • Inquisitive and continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise jobs accordingly
  • Ability to communicate well with others and influence at all levels
  • Experience working with field service teams and external stakeholders (beneficial)
