Our Federal Government Client is looking for a

Designer to work in a dynamic multidisciplinary team in agile environment to improve interoperability between the Australian Government, departments, and providers.


The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to:

  • Impact assessments
  • Integrated functional solution designs
  • Presentations, wireframes, prototypes & mockups
  • User stories
  • Diagrams e.g., ERD, system process flow
  • Design 'on a page' or showcase presentations
  • Functional specifications
  • Data fix & migration specifications
  • Integration data mapping specifications
  • Project risk, issue, and status reports

Role Responsibilities:

- liaison with technical and non-technical staff of all levels within the department, and from external agencies to determine business requirements
- negotiation of scope within technical and resourcing limitations
- preparation for and coordination of analysis and design workshops
- working closely with architects, design assurance and developers to ensure designs are feasible
- development and documentation of detailed functional designs, user stories, mock-ups, and other design artefacts
- (QA) peer review of other designers' deliverables, and confidence checks of built functionality
- provide advice on the relative risks of project-related activities
- coordinate the implementation of solutions with relevant stakeholders
- analysis and resolution of design issues raised during development

  • Transfer of skills and knowledge to departmental officers

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in IT systems analysis & design

Demonstrated experience working in a

Net or Siebel environment:

  • Tertiary level qualification in ICT or equivalent

Desirable

  • Experience working in the Australian government, particularly on large & complex IT systems
  • Experience working in a large organisation undergoing digital transformation
