The role

We are currently seeking a
casual Chief Exam Supervisor to ensure the fair and proper conduct of examinations in an environment that enables student to perform at their best.

The Chief Supervisor leads the team supervising the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) VCE examinations, ensuring that the examinations take place in accordance with VCAA requirements.

This role requires the incumbent to undertake administrative responsibilities relating to the to the proper administration of the examinations. The Chief supervisor must be available to supervise all VCE external examinations. (NHT exams in May, GAT in June and final VCE examinations in October / November).

Training required to fulfill this position will be provided by the VCAA on dates fixed by VCAA.

The successful applicant will:

• Prior experience in coordinating and supervising exams within a high school or tertiary environment (desirable)
• Understanding of VCAA protocol and procedures
• Excellent problem solving skills and work well in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
• Exceptional organisation skills, attention to detail and accuracy
• Possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and interact with both adults and students
• Possess sound judgement and a calm and mature disposition

- have a current Working with Children check or willing to obtain prior to commencement
- have a current National Police Check or be willing to obtain prior to commencement

To be eligible, the VCE Chief Examination Supervisor cannot be:

• Related to, or associated with, any student undertaking a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 202
• Teaching or tutoring any student required to sit the GAT or any student in a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 202
• Related to, or associated with, any person engaged in teaching, tutoring or coaching any student required to sit the GAT or and student undertaking a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 2023, or any school personnel engaged in organising or checking VCE external assessment materials on behalf of a school in 202
• Employed by the school in any other capacity, including as a teacher, Casual Relief Teacher (CRT) or a member of the administration staff.
• Any person/s engaged in organising, checking or distributing VCE exam papers
