About the role

The position delivers advanced level nutrition and dietetic services to stakeholders/customers at the Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Services (STARS), to achieve excellence in patient care, education and research.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Dietetics and Food Services, this position also contributes to service development, education, research and overall operational management of the department.

  • Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated advanced level knowledge, expertise and skill in contemporary clinical practice standards for nutrition and dietetics services relevant to specified clinical service streams at STARS.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to provide operational, clinical and strategic leadership to a mediumsized team of Dietitians and Allied Health Assistants.
  • Quality improvement: Demonstrated ability to lead innovative quality/service improvement and research projects of significant scope and clinical importance to Nutrition & Dietetics, Food Services and/or Queensland Health, seeking outcomes that influence standards of clinical practice and the delivery of services to meet local needs and influence broader organisational goals including publishing/presenting relevant work broadly.
