Job Description

Reporting to the CHPP Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, the CHPP Electrical Technician will perform all logistical and electrical maintenance functions within the Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP) and minimising downtime whilst demonstrating a strong commitment to health, safety and the environment.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Providing safe and efficient assistance to operation equipment.

• Performing electrical fault finding and diagnostics work at the CHPP.


• Conduct High voltage switching

• Inspect, maintain and repair electrical fixed plant in accordance with AS3000 and relevant legislation.

• maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values.

About you:

• Electrical Trade Qualification (NSW Electrical Supervisor or contractors licence)

• 3+ years experience in fixed plant operations.


• Industrial experience, conducting maintenance inspections, industrial installations, fault finding and repair of equipment including, yard machines (Stackers / Reclaimers), conveying equipment.

• High Voltage Switching Qualification (advantageous)

• Previous experience in coal handling and processing plants.


• Competencies in Working at heights / confined space / elevated work platform (advantageous)

• Excellent Organisational skills and with the ability to multitask.

• Ability to liaise and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

• Show motivation with the ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
