Join our dynamic team as Senior Executive Coordinator, in the Office of the Assistant Director-General and Chief Information Officer, Information and Technologies Branch. You will deliver high-level advisory and support services to ensure strategic objectives are met. In this critical role, you'll coordinate the workflow of key departmental documents, engage in comprehensive research and analysis, and quality assure all documents requiring ADG approval.

Become an essential part of our team in the Information and Technologies Branch (ITB), within the Office of the Assistant Director-General and Chief Information Officer. The Information and Technologies Branch (ITB) is part of the People, Information and Communications Services division.

As Senior Executive Coordinator, you'll become a central figure in orchestrating the workflow of our key departmental documents, demonstrating your ability to tackle complex issues with confidence and clarity.

  • Be the go-to person for managing a diverse array of requests within ITB, including correspondence, briefing papers, Parliamentary and cabinet, and media enquiries.
  • Navigate the complexities of incoming materials with an analytical approach, ensuring that all actions are carefully considered and carried out effectively.
  • Provides support to colleagues by keeping track of, pre-drafting and/or sharing previously approved text, correspondence or submissions that will assist with current responses and submissions.
  • Manages the priorities of the day; monitor progress, negotiate deadlines where necessary and liaise with staff to ensure those deadlines are met.
  • Critically reviews and analyses materials in order to ensure accuracy in content, alignment with relevant legislation and policies, and ensures compliance with ministerial and departmental style guides to maintain consistency with format, structure and protocols.
  • Develops, implements and reviews coordinator support systems and procedures within OADG IT to ensure they meet a high level of accuracy and operate in accordance with departmental requirements as they change.
  • A track record of excellence in high-pressure environments where priorities can change at a moment's notice.
  • Top-notch organisational skills and the ability to directly influence outcomes with well-timed communication.
  • A critical mind that thrives on thorough research and analysis, delivering insights that drive decision-making.
  • A strong commitment to improve business processes and provide exceptional customer service.
