About the role

Our Collingwood café is open Monday to Friday 730am -230pm with an established, dedicated team, seasonal menu and cashless operation.

Working with an established team of 6, our 2IC works alongside the Café Manager to ensure our customers have a great experience and great coffee every time.

With no nights or weekends, if you love the hospitality industry but want that work -life balance - this is the gig for you This role will see you:

• Help open and close the space daily, motivating & engaging the team to deliver great service and great coffee to our customers.
• Be on the machine making coffees as well as out on the floor, running food to tables.
• Assist the Café Manager with ordering, stock management, rostering, budgets, training staff and ensuring the kitchen and FOH operations run seamlessly.
• Liase with suppliers and oversee café operations when the Café Manager is away.
• Maintain a clean, organized cafe space that beautifully represents the Allpress brand.

About you

We're looking for a seasoned barista or Café all rounder with a confident and vibrant demeanor to help lead the team.

Taking pride in delivering great customer service, you'll be a proactive, friendly team player who loves welcoming people into the space and making lasting connections.

To nail this role you'll need:

• At least 3 year's experience in a Café environment, ideally leading on the floor.
• Be a seasoned barista, both capable and confident on the machine
• Ideally, you'll have some experience with costings, ordering, stock management or be willing to learn.
• Be proactive and driven. You'll be dependable, organised, and have great time management with a good eye across the floor at all times.
