Following community and stakeholder consultation in late 2021, the project team is continuing to refine the reference design as well as securing the required land along the project corridor, progressing approvals and developing the packaging and /delivery strategy.

With extensive track upgrades, 8 new train stations, 5 level crossing removals, park 'n' ride upgrades and new active travel pathways, this transformational project will deliver significant benefits to communities, customers and businesses along the 20km corridor.

A separate but related project within this corridor is the $125m Loganlea Station Relocation (LSR) project which will deliver anew accessible station located closer to health, education and community services as well as additional park 'n' ride spaces.

Accountabilities include:

  • Provide external customerfocused advice and action on communication and stakeholder engagement strategies and activities for the project. Develop, implement, and evaluate complex communication and community engagement strategies to tight timeframes and within budget, including the delivery of customer messaging and innovative tactical delivery. Effectively manage communication and engagement activities delivered by the project contractor, including delegation of work, approvals, governance, reporting and budgeting. Manage and monitor project activities and act on emerging risks and issues. Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with key project stakeholders including other government agencies, TMR branches, delivery partners and local councils to ensure the project is achieving its goals. Provide assistance (where required) to the Manager (Communication and Engagement), Project Director (LGC project), and Executive Project Director (LGC project) in managing complex and contentious issues and communication and engagement challenges. Actively participate in personal performance planning and appraisal through accepting and providing positive and constructive feedback. Undertake training and development opportunities that are identified as necessary to achieve work unit goals, and gain awareness of corporate responsibilities through the appropriate induction processes and participation in other relevant programs. Contribute to a safe and healthy workplace by complying with Workplace Health and Safety legislation, codes of practice, standards and Authority policy and procedures and participating in risk management and corrective action programs. Participation in an oncall roster may be required. Other accountabilities and tasks as reasonably directed.
This role reports to the Manager (Communication and Engagement), and currently has no direct reports.
