The Star Brisbane, located at the heart of the exciting new Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct, is set to become Australia's freshest hotspot for entertainment and leisure. Beginning its phased opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will introduce a variety of unique entertainment options, top-notch hotels, dining experiences, bars, luxury retail outlets, gaming facilities, and a cutting-edge Event Centre, reshaping the way people socialize, shop, and have fun in the city by the river.

This role offers you the chance to work at Treasury Brisbane initially and partake in the grand opening of The Star Brisbane.

As the Property Operations Technician at Treasury Brisbane, you won't just be flipping switches; you'll be the one keeping our property running smoothly. Supporting the Property Operations Leadership team, you will handle property-related challenges, work on problem-solving, engage authorized contractors when necessary, and escalate issues when needed. This position involves shift work on a rotating roster.

Your key responsibilities

• Assist the Property Operations Management team with day-to-day operations in the Property Operations Department

• Utilize available resources during each shift to meet business requirements

• Supervise electrical operations throughout the shift

• Conduct field inspections as needed to ensure facility operations

• Address building issues promptly

• Provide energy-saving recommendations to the Property Operations Manager

Key requirements

• Possession of a Queensland trade license

• Previous experience in a support role involving engineering or maintenance

• Exposure to fast-paced hospitality operations

• Familiarity with Occupational Health & Safety regulations is a plus

About you
If you have a background in engineering or maintenance support and hold a current QLD Electrical Licence, this role is for you. With a solid understanding of commercial HVAC systems, BMS, or similar control systems, along with adept troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, you're the perfect fit. Your proficiency with hand and power tools, strong reporting abilities, and dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences make you an ideal candidate for this role, where autonomy, teamwork, enthusiasm, and attention to detail are highly valued.

About Our Company
The Queen's Wharf Brisbane project, valued at $3.6 billion, is being managed by Destination Brisbane Consortium, a partnership led by The Star Entertainment Group.
Upon completion, Queen's Wharf Brisbane will introduce four luxury hotels, over 50 new dining experiences, significant luxury retail spaces, restoration of heritage buildings, and approximately 1,500 residential apartments.
Our current property, Treasury Brisbane, offers the elegance of a five-star hotel, the excitement of Brisbane's only 24-hour casino, live entertainment thrills, exclusive fashion events, and mouthwatering dining options. Treasury Brisbane will transition into The Star Brisbane with an anticipated opening in early 2024.
