About the role:


We are a dynamic and forward-thinking team dedicated to leveraging technology and data to drive strategic decision-making and develop a residential development monitoring framework.


As a Graduate Strategic Planner with a focus on GIS and data collection, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic initiatives and driving informed decision-making processes.

You will work closely with the Principal Urban Research Analyst to gather, analyse, and interpret spatial data, contributing valuable insights to support our strategic objectives.


Skills and experience require to perform the role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in one or more urban planning or related disciplines.
  • High level literacy in creating and manipulating maps using a Geographic Information System.
  • Experience in urban planning (either strategic planning or statutory planning) is desired.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Victorian planning system, including the Victoria Planning Provisions and Planning and Environment Act 198
  • Knowledge of the planning scheme amendments statutory processes, Ministerial Directions and State Planning Practice Notes is desirable.
  • An understanding of the requirements of presenting to or assisting at Panel Hearings / VCAT.
  • Highlevel written and verbal communication skills.
