About this role: Sydney Water has teamed up with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to provide design, construction, maintenance, and facilities management services as part of the P4S program in Sydney Water's Southern Region. D4C is a partnership including Comdain Infrastructure, John Holland, Service Stream, and WSP. This collaboration aims to create long-term job opportunities, diversify skills, and open doors to the water industry for the southern region's residents.

We are seeking a Construction Engineer to join the growing team at D4C and contribute to excellence in the Southern Region.

What this role will involve:

Sydney Water is responsible for operating various stormwater networks in the region, particularly in inner-city areas. Tasks will include network renewals, remediation, and naturalization efforts. This involves installing larger mains, concrete remediation of culverts, and more. As a Construction Engineer, you will oversee a series of projects from start to finish over the next decade. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing project delivery following NEC4 processes
  • Allocating resources to meet budget, time, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Offering input to enhance constructability of designs
  • Reviewing progress against plans and milestones
  • Ensuring effective contract and financial risk management
  • Tracking costs and reporting internally and externally
  • Implementing changes and fostering a strong safety culture
Essential Requirements:

Preferred qualifications: Tertiary education or equivalent (Project Management diploma or master's degree)

Experience: Managing medium to large projects

Demonstrated skills: Leadership in health, safety, and environment, financial and commercial management, client/stakeholder relations, MS Office proficiency, and possessing a White Card
