MACA is looking to recruit a Maintenance Planner - Mobile Plant to become part of the team at the McPhee Creek Iron Ore Project, operating on an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth.

The McPhee Creek Iron Ore Project, situated 30km north of Nullagine in the north-east Pilbara region of WA, involves mine load and haul activities of up to 10 million tonnes per annum, with subsequent transportation to Roy Hill for processing.

As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a key role in crafting and managing comprehensive maintenance schedules, prioritizing tasks based on criticality and production impact, and analyzing data to identify improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a bi-weekly plan that is updated weekly.
  • Collaborate with the Long-Term Planning team to strategize major component changeouts within a three-month window.
  • Develop shutdown plans for safe and efficient execution of major maintenance events.
  • Coordinate with different departments to ensure maintenance activities align with site objectives.
  • Maintain an equipment database and utilize CMMS for documentation.
  • Conduct final reviews of service packs.

Requirements:
  • Hold a Trade Certification in Mechanical; Heavy Diesel certification is desirable, or possess a tertiary qualification.
  • Demonstrate current knowledge of asset management principles.
  • Previous experience in short-term maintenance scheduling within a mining environment.
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite.
