  • The Cardiac Catheter Laboratories caters for patients undergoing elective and emergency cardiac procedures with a 24/7 on call service comprising of 3 labs. Procedures include Coronary Angiogram, Pacing, Trans aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), complex congenital structural intervention and is a world known leader in Cardiac Arrhythmias. We are looking for an Associate Nurse Manager who is keen to learn and develop their leadership skills. You will be part of the nursing leadership team on the ward / unit supporting excellence in clinical practice and promoting the development of nurses, ensuring the philosophy of nursing and standards of practice are consistently reflected in professional practice and patient care. Together with the Nurse Manager, you will support the management of clinical risk and implementation of systems and processes to improve patient outcomes. The Associate Nurse Unit Manager facilitates timely patient access and flow across the continuum of care.
    What will your typical day look like?
  • Lead, support and promote preceptorship including undertaking a leadership role.
  • Perform complex nursing interventions and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to maximise positive patient outcome.
  • Part of this role will include participation in on call responsibilities, within our supportive and dedicated multidisciplinary team.

  • You have welldeveloped assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills, and are a positive role model to all staff.
  • You bring great clinical experience in the Cath Lab setting.
  • You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • You have strong time management and prioritisation skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Essential: Postgraduate certificate in cardiac care
  • Essential: Current Registration with AHPRA Post Graduate qualifications preferred
