The Role

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. About our Team
You will:

Provide specialist advice to define capability requirements, conduct planning, monitoring and controlling of products across the Defence Capability Life Cycle. Lead and prepare the development of timely and high quality agendum, issues papers, minutes for capability committees to senior Defence leaders to assist in their decision-making. Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. Develop detailed project plans, track progress, and proactively identify and mitigate risks. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence in project management practices. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones. Lead, mentor and guide project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment. Understanding of Australia's strategic policy, legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence mission and policy requirements.
