The Project


CPB Contractors along with our industry partners have joined together in the construction of Main South Road and Victor Harbor Road Duplication Projects, with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport located in Adelaide, South Australia.


Your Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Safety Advisor, reporting to the SHEQ Manager.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to contribute to the Safety and Health Objectives and ensure that all staff and contractors comply with Statutory, Contractual and Safety Management System Obligations.

The role will be based at Tatachilla.

As the Safety Advisor, you will be accountable for:

  • Ensuring the accurate, timely and responsive Safety and Health Service is provided to the project
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of standards to ensure the Project complies with S&H regulatory and governance requirements
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of Project goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships
  • Coach and influence site workers and management on the projects hazard and risk management tools and reinforce safe behaviours and address atrisk behaviours in the field

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Ideally, a Diploma-level qualification in a relevant safety discipline
  • Robust understanding of WHS Act and Regulations
  • Experience in Safety Management System implementation
  • Significant experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to build relationships and influence people at all levels
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, and attention to detail
