About the Role
We're on the lookout for a skilled Mechanical Trade qualified Fitter to join our team in Mackay (with occasional travel to surrounding sites). In this role, you'll be in charge of diverse mechanical servicing, maintenance, installations, and upgrades of fixed and mobile plant and equipment. You'll also have the chance to support in managing shutdowns. At GrainCorp, there are pathways for training and development to support your personal growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and rectifying issues in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Dealing with equipment failures or breakdowns promptly
- Creating and submitting maintenance reports as needed
- Maintaining records using our SAP Maintenance platform
About Your Experience
The ideal candidate will hold a trade certificate in mechanical, fitting and turning, boiler making, or a related field. You should have a strong aptitude for problem-solving, a proactive and safety-conscious approach, good computer skills, self-motivation, reliability, effective time management, and excellent communication abilities. The role may involve work at heights and in confined spaces, so qualifications in these areas would be advantageous.
